A shorter van has lots of advantages, including being easier to park in various environments, but you don't want the interior to feel cramped. There are many camper vans that feature a roof pop-up, which means that you can push the roof upward once you park. Doing so will create more overhead space, which can be ideal if you're tall. Even if you aren't tall, having more overhead room will help to create a feeling of spaciousness. Many pop-ups are equipped with vents, which will provide a source of fresh air for the interior of the van.
